Please check out Article 13, Vacations and Holidays, A.3. It is the biggest change that may affect unit members. When we settle the new 3 year agreement, all members will receive a hard copy at AEOTE’s expense:
The maximum vacation accrual that may be carried over shall be thirty (30) days. Employees shall be expected to exhaust all other vacation leave in the year it is accrued. Current employees with vacation balances that exceed this accrual limitation shall exhaust all additional vacation no later than the end of the term of this Agreement or by December 31, 2008. The District shall not deny vacation requests for arbitrary or capricious reasons. The District shall make every effort to facilitate employee use of vacation time. The parties will meet, review, and negotiate if necessary the use of any remaining excess vacation no later than September 30, 2008 .
